BRING ON THE SUMMER!
Apologies as there has not been a newsletter for quite some time. Over the last 3 months we have been busier then ever! We have set up BEAT Education (working in schools), BEAT Party Pack (have your special occasion at the hub), BEAT Dance (it’s back!), BEAT X-Ceptional (drama for our older students) and our casting agency! For more information on the above please visit our website.
As a lot of you are already aware we will be supplying walk on parts and auditions for Waterloo Road. If you are aged 12-15 and are interested please pick up a licencing form from the hub or download it from www.beatdama.com. If you have any problems please contact Matt Zina who will talk you through what to do. 07835637172. We are also in talks with ITV, Hollyokes and Advert castings so please make sure you keep an eye on our auditions board so we can send you off for parts!
T shirts have been ordered and we will do another batch before we break up for summer. If you would like one of the new BEAT t-shirts or hoodies please email mattzina@beatdrama.com with your order. We ask politely that all students wear our uniform to classes but it is not compulsory.
BRING ON THE SUMMER SHOW! On Friday 22nd July it is our last BEAT before the summer holidays so that means show time! We will be running with the theme “Play in the Night”. Each class will perform a 15-20 minute show displaying all the techniques we have learnt throughout the year. Then straight after its time for our end of year AWARDS PARTY! There will be a disco with live a DJ, buffet and the awards presentation. Tickets are available from next week for £4 per person. This includes the Awards Party as well. Everyone in the show can party for freeJ
Finally a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us this year! Moving into the BEAT Hub was a challenge to say the least and without the help and encouragement from our little super stars (some not so little) and their parents/ carers we would not have achieved it. So THANK YOU ALL!!!

Summer Schools 2011!
(Age's 5-16+)
Film School
Monday 1st - Friday5th August, 10:00am-4:00pm @ the BEAT Hub, Horsforth.
In this week you will be given the chance to write and star in your own film or sketch show. After last years success we are happy to have the BAFTA nominated Bashford Twins back to help us. They will be showing students how to film and act in front of camera. The students will then star in there own film and be given the final edited DVD professionally made. We then use this as a show reel to give to casting directors. Last years sketch shows led to 3 members with television roles and a further 4 with auditions. If you are seriously interested in acting for television then we strongly recommend these workshops.
Cost for week £100
Play in a Week
Monday 22nd– Saturday 27th August, 10:00am-4:00pm @ the BEAT Hub, Horsforth.
This is a fun packed workshop for people who love drama and being creative! We will be playing drama games, exploring different styles of acting and performing improvisations. We then put it altogether and perform a show on the Saturday evening to all who want to come. A great way to spend a week, being creative and making new friends!
Also as part of this week on the Wednesday we will be going on a social trip to Flamingo land Theme Park! This will be a longer day and is included in the price.
Cost for the week and flamingo land £75
You can attend both summer school weeks for the special price of £150. Please book as soon as possible as numbers are limited.
