FEEDBACK & TESTIMONY
Hey Matt
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed and appreciated tonight's workshop. I knew it was going to be quite hard-hitting, but I didn't really expect Lara to be so inspirational. I think not only the scenes you both performed, but Lara as a person were touching, and I will never forget tonight.

Dear BEAT
I wanted to let you know that I have work experience coming up and I’m now going to spend one of the weeks doing voluntary work for the disabled. I have a deeper respect for people like Lara, and if she ever needs any help with her shows, let her know I am here and would consider it an honour to help out. Thank you BEAT!

Matt,
I can say with certainty that both my boys have benefited, and continue to benefit, from attending BEAT. They have been introduced to new skills - not to mention many new friends, both of which has positivity effected their confidence on stage and confidence in social situations. The classes are a great contrast to other sporting activities open to them. Above all, they both really enjoy Friday nights and it is a great end to a week at school. Keeping teenagers occupied and engaged is a difficult challenge but one that you somehow seem to manage! -
Well Done - Keep up the good work.

Hi Matt,
I just wanted to let you know how much my daughter is enjoying coming to BEAT. She has been coming to the Horsforth class for the past 12 months and has loved the opportunity to come to a local drama group where she has met a wider group of friends and been able to pursue her love of drama and music. She has attended two courses during the holidays and was so enthusiastic about her experiences.
She is thoroughly enjoying coming to the group.

Hi Matt,
I'm just writing to let you know what a positive impact your BEAT drama group has had on my two young boys in the short time they've been attending your classes. Since they started attending BEAT regularly, their ability to express themselves in a confident and outgoing manner has dramatically improved. I think performing / role-playing with other boys and girls of their own age group has given them a huge amount of confidence, it's made them less self-conscious and has given aided their development enormously. I can't thank you and your staff enough for all the terrific work you do and I hope many others will see the benefits to their children as I have.

Dear Whomever It May Concern,
I am writing to you to let you know of the positive impact Beat has on my child, aged 7. She started at Beat aged 6 as she loves singing, dancing and acting. Most stage schools cost a lot of money and are very pushy in their approach, expecting children to be great at all areas. My daughter wants to enjoy her childhood and although Beat discipline where necessary, the children love going and expressing their natures through instruction.
I have recommended Beat to many parents at my children’s school and some of them have brought their children as well

Hi Matt
Here are some thoughts and observations on BEAT.
The main comment on a Friday morning, just about as soon as he wakes up is "Great, it's BEAT tonight - can't wait" He also says "It's a place where young people can go to have fun; learn new techniques; how to get more out of acting and presenting themselves - it helps us to build confidence" The Summer Schools (Improvisation/Comedy weeks) were fun to be involved with, starting with nothing we then had to come up with our own ideas and plots for the sketches The trips and days out, such as The National Film Museum, Lightwater Valley and Eureka are well organised, they are always fun and interesting. He is always happy to go to BEAT on a Friday night, he really enjoys everything about it. The leaders are always happy to see him and approachable and keep us well informed with their up to date website, emails and texts
Keep up the great work, thanks for all the time and effort you all put in.

Hi Matt,
Just wanted to drop you a quick email to let you know the difference BEAT has made to my daughter. She has always been creative (and a bit of a drama queen!), but BEAT has brought on her confidence and helped with her self esteem tenfold. She loves BEAT, we had looked at a variety of drama schools/ clubs but none seemed to be right for her, or for our family (some other drama groups don't allow children whose parents drive a skoda haha). Both you and Matt have helped increase her confidence and to be herself (no matter how weird that might be!).
Working with other like minded children, has also helped her build relationships with other children at school aswell, again this is down to her improved confidence.
In addition to this, in her end of year report, school commented on how her already outstanding performing skills had improved.

Our son has been attending BEAT in Bradford on a Saturday for the last year. He has a range of learning difficulties that mean he struggles at school and does not always understand how to socialise with other children. But he does have a fantastic imagination and BEAT has given him the chance to express himself in a relaxed and comfortable environment. BEAT is not as formal as some drama schools and the teachers have a genuine interest in the children, making it a place that all children can enjoy. He even managed a week long summer school - something we did not think he would cope with - and the final performance was absolutely brilliant. Thank you!
